debole forza for piano and ebow (revision premiere)
I am pleased to be working on a revision of my original piece “debole forza” (2010, for piano and e-bow) now commissioned by the American-Canadian pianist Andrew Zhou. The revised piece will be premiered in Berlin in a double-bill concert for piano (Andrew Zhou) and clarinet (Ingólfur Vilhjálmsson) on January 31, 2023. The concert is produced by Labor Neunzehn with the generous support from the Perspektive Kultur programme of the Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Europa. More info soon.
CANCELLED – New audiovisual work by Besegher/Massobrio at the Tehran International Electronic Music Festival – TIEMF
Due to the current situation in the country, the ‘Tehran International Electronic Music Festival’ has been postponed until next year. I would like to follow the festival organisers in their decision to “show our solidarity and unity with the people and their movement” as well as in their hope “that next year this festival be held in a ‘free’ Iran and under more favourable conditions”.

I am very pleased to be the recipient of this year’s Music Current commission.

For the Music Current festival 2023 I will focus on a new work for piano and electric guitar with the aim of expanding my research on acoustic stirrings and exploring the space of resonance in these two string instruments (acoustic resonances but also inner resonances). I am very happy about this and look forward to working with musicians Izumi Kimura (piano) and Shane Latimer (guitar) to develop the work.
